Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary source of legal information and ensure the consistency of advice provided.
- Prepare contracts/agreements and advise on legal matters.
- Guide and complete legal registration process for institutions associated with QF to efficiently incorporate new centers/subsidiaries.
- Advise on matters related to legal compliance with International and Qatari Law and any other applicable law to mitigate the risk of legal action.
- Gather and analyze research data, such as statutes, decisions, and legal articles, codes, and documents for reference and in efforts to fulfil legal requirement.
- Follow up on legal agreements to ensure that they are properly elaborated and completed, and to respond to any pertinent questions.
- Liaise with and advise centers on legal issues to ensure compliance with applicable legal framework for contracts and agreements.
- Manage the drafting and filing of legal issues, including coordination with contracted external legal counsels.
- Manage contracted external legal counsels in accordance with best practices.
- Coordinate the preparation of summary presentations and documentation for management reviews and presentation to collaborating parties.
- Develop, review, and implement a board governance compliance program and governance documents (e.g. bylaws, charters) while ensuring highest standards in collaboration with the team.
- Support contractual and legal functions in various capacities, as determined by the hiring department.
- Carry out initial research in connection with contractual and legal matters to be discussed at or reported to meetings.
- Prepare reports, summaries and presentations on legal matters as requested.
- Ensure systematic development of decisions related to operations, projects, and entities.
- Ensure all Boards, Committees and Entity Governing Bodies are compliant with the articles of association, bylaws, charters, governance manual and state regulations.
- Perform the hiring department Champion role as assigned by supervisor and in alignment of the approved hiring department's Champions Manual.
- Other reasonable tasks, as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law & 6-8 years of relevant full-time work experience.
- Experience in an industrial or corporate environment, with deep research, commercial, and contractual expertise.
- Deep understanding of legal principles and regulations, with the ability to apply them in complex, real-world commercial scenarios.
- Strong background in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, with a particular focus on ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
- In-depth experience with commercial law, dispute resolution, corporate governance, and corporate law matters.
- Excellent organization and time management skills as well as thorough attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, teamwork, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
