The Citadel's French Program welcomes applications for adjunct faculty instructors in French. Course availability varies. Subject to experience, teaching assignments may include beginner through intermediate language instruction. Scheduling is typically flexible within the weekday hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. The Citadel’s goal is to build long-term relationships with high-quality part-time faculty members who are committed to developing principled, well-rounded leaders who appreciate the value of being culturally and linguistically proficient in world languages other than their own.
This job posting is not for a specific assignment or for a full-time faculty position, but rather for a pool of candidates who may be considered.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Native or near-native fluency in French
- Master's degree in French or a Master's degree in another subject with 18 hours of graduate-level study in French or an equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching at the undergraduate level
