HybridWhat you will do
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for providing specialist support and guidance in payroll administration, processing, reporting, and compliance for a specific department or function:
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain payroll procedures in compliance with company policies and regulations
Process payroll accurately and timely for all employees
Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data and benefits information
Conduct audits to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance
Provide specialized support and guidance in payroll administration and processing for the department or function
Offer expert advice and direction on payroll policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Research and resolve discrepancies in payrolls, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll practices and procedures, documenting requirements
Collaborate with managers and supervisors to address payroll issues promptly and effectively
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
0-2 years of experience in payroll processing
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferably hold a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)
Desired Qualifications
Experience in payroll time and attendance management is advantageous
Familiarity with Payroll processes, controls, and compliance regulations is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft tools and applications, especially MS Excel (pivot tables, v-look up functions)
Experience with payroll applications and service providers is a plus
Knowledge of Kronos or SAP Time Tracking module is beneficial
Experience with ERP systems like Payroll, HR, OM modules of SAP is advantageous
Ability to prioritize customer requests, work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines
