The Heritage Group (THG) is partnering with Orr Fellowship in the hiring of an early career individual for its Data Science Rotational Development Program where the Fellow will complete three eight month rotations with the first rotation placement being with THG's Treasury Group.
The Data Scientist Fellow (Data Scientist) will be a key member of THG's Treasury group, responsible for driving efficiency and innovation across financial operations. This role leverages process automation, advanced data analytics, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence to enhance decision-making and streamline treasury workflows. The Data Scientist will support the development and maintenance of automation systems, dashboards, and predictive models, while also contributing to cross-functional projects with operating companies and corporate functions. In this capacity, the Data Scientist will provide analytical insights, support project management activities, and collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate and execute strategic initiatives at the corporate level.The role is expected to deliver improved accuracy, scalability, and consistency in treasury processes while enabling data-driven insights that support broader organizational goals across THG.
As part of this rotation, the Data Scientist will make an immediate impact while gaining exposure to enterprise-level financial processes, advanced analytics, and cross-functional collaboration — building a strong foundation for future rotations and long-term career growth.

Essential Functions
- Gather, clean, and analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, build predictive models, and deliver insights that support data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and improve automated processes, tools, and data pipelines that enhance Treasury operations and efficiency.
- Develop and deliver reports, dashboards, and presentations that clearly communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Document processes, methodologies, and key learnings to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity beyond the rotation period.
- Support cross-functional teams in planning and executing process improvement initiatives that address the needs of key stakeholders.
- Apply learnings from new tools, techniques, and best practices in process automation, data analytics, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence to drive continuous improvement.
- Assist with additional projects and responsibilities that support Treasury-specific and enterprise-wide AI, automation, and data analytics initiatives.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.
Education Qualifications
- Required Bachelor's Degree Current college Senior pursuing a major in Computer Science, Data Science/Analytics, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence or a related field.
Skills And Abilities
- Demonstrated analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the Power Platform (e.g., Power BI); Python experience preferred.
- Experience applying data analysis techniques and process automation tools, with genuine interest in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.
- Experience with machine learning and familiarity with statistical modeling techniques (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression analysis, Monte Carlo simulations) through coursework, projects, or internships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical and analytical information to a diverse audience.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and independently identify solutions.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines; exposure to project management practices is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships to effectively collaborate across teams.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and eager to learn, with enthusiasm for delivering high-quality work and contributing to organizational success.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items and walk short distances.
