People Operations Director

We are seeking a dynamic Director of People Operations to lead a critical 6-month initiative to design, implement, and execute a shared services model for Human Resources. This project will focus on establishing scalable processes within the People Operations team, defining external engagement models with the business, and driving organizational adoption through a structured change management strategy.

Following the successful delivery of this project, the Director will transition into a permanent People Operations leadership role supporting all corporate headquarters functions and the broader business. This expanded role will focus on driving employee engagement, optimizing organizational structures, strengthening performance management, and partnering with functional leaders on people-related strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Phase 1:  Shared Services Model (First 6 Months)

• Design & Implement: Establish a shared services model for HR that standardizes internal team processes and external business-facing workflows.
• Change Management: Define and execute a change management strategy to ensure adoption across the organization.
• Performance Measurement: Define KPIs and develop dashboards to measure success and continuously improve processes.
• Team Leadership: Guide and support the People Shared Service team in executing new workflows and ensuring alignment with business needs.

Phase 2: Ongoing People Operations Leadership

• Strategic Partnership: Serve as the primary People Operations leader supporting headquarters and corporate functions.
• Engagement & Culture: Drive workplace and facilities engagement programs to foster a positive employee experience.
• Performance & Development: Oversee performance management cycles and partner with leaders to develop talent strategies.
• Efficiency & Structure: Collaborate with functional leadership to enhance organizational efficiency, optimize structures, and align people strategies with business objectives.
• Operational Excellence: Lead initiatives across all aspects of People Operations, including HR processes, policy compliance, employee engagement, and workforce planning.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR/People Operations experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated success in building or transforming HR operations models, ideally in a shared services environment.
• Strong expertise in change management, process optimization, and organizational design.
• Proven ability to define and track KPIs, and to use data to influence decision-making.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders to drive strategic and operational outcomes.
• Strong problem-solving and execution orientation, with a track record of delivering measurable results.
