Birmingham City Council has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Anatomical Pathology Technologist to be employed in the Central Mortuary in Birmingham City Centre.
The mortuary provides post-mortem services for the Birmingham and Solihull Coroner Area covering a population of 1.3 million people with 1,700 post mortems conducted annually.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with experience within the funeral/mortuary profession preferred, but not essential to join our team of 4 qualified Anatomical Pathology Technologists.
You will be required to study toward a level 3 diploma in anatomical pathology technology. It is expected that you will attend an appropriate course and pass within the qualification defined time frame of that course.
The duties include in participating in an out of office hours on call rota including weekends and bank holidays.
