POSITION TITLE: Assistant Manager, Restaurant
DIVISION: Food and Beverage
DEPARTMENTS: Employee Cafeteria, Food Market, Gordon Ramsay, Brew Brothers

JOB SUMMARY:
Contribute to the operating success of the property by operating a successful and exciting restaurant. Be an energetic people person who is a highly visible front-of-house manager specializing in building strong relationships with guests and Team Members.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and plans for restaurants
- Assist in the preparation of annual staffing projections for restaurants
- Provide input and feedback on menu design
- Ensure all food and beverages served meet established standards
- Assist in enforcing appearance standards
- Encourage high standards of guest service and serve as a role model
- Build templates for schedules, shift logs, and seating charts
- Ensure service recovery activities
- Assist in developing and maintaining strong teamwork between front-of-house and back-of-house restaurant personnel, as well as work with other departments for the overall good of the casino
- Provide continuous positive coaching for the development of Team Members and appropriate corrective action when necessary
- Ensure completion and delivery of accurate, timely performance appraisals and maintain accurate work history entries
- Exhibit sound decision-making with an emphasis on motivating the team and maintaining high morale
- Responsible for or actively participates in the initiation of personnel actions, including but not limited to interviews, Team Member development, training, candidate selection, terminations, performance reviews, promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions
- Train subordinates, providing each with the knowledge, development, and appropriate direction to perform their responsibilities
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate important information
- Serve as a communication liaison to subordinates and the F&B Manager
- Participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved with projects, committees, and task forces, by providing input and suggestions
- Assist in monitoring Bartenders and other Team Members with cash to ensure proper cash-handling procedures
- Assist in conducting a physical inventory of barware and requisition replacement items as needed
- Ensure all Team Members are following the guidelines of the EBCI liquor laws as defined by the Tribal ABC Board
- Monitor asset control of liquor bottles, draft and bottled beer, and wine
- Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner
- Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- A BSBA degree from an accredited educational institution in business or hospitality is preferred, or a total of 5 years of experience in the Food and Beverage industry
- One year of supervisory experience is required
- Two years of managerial experience in a full-service restaurant is preferred
- RASP certification required*
- Manager ServSafe certification required**
*Can be completed within 30 days of the hire date

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to be on feet for an 8-hour shift
- Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grasp items
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds and carry 5 pounds
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality, including second-hand smoke
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
