Position Description
This position manages advanced engineering, architectural, or construction projects, providing leadership in planning, oversight and compliance with state and federal regulations. Oversees projects objectives, ensures quality assurance/quality control, and maintains project integrity. Work requires extensive contact with agency management, governmental officials and private entities. Employees at this level are virtually self -supervising and assume direct accountability for the work product.
Essential Duties:
- Complies and distributes project information, status reports and project budgets. Will be a liaison for Construction Quality coordination With the District and Area Office Design staff.
- Coordinates project activities with other state agencies, governmental entities or private partners. Coordinates with Area office on professional services needs and effectively communicates with Consultant partners.
- Creates documentation procedures to capture and deal with changes in original project plan.
- Directs, develops, implements, and evaluates project budgets, schedules, work plans, resources requirements, and cost estimates and projections.
- Collects and Manages all CEI PEPs contract executions including ICNs, BCMs, Contract Execution and WA /SWA Agreements. Tracks PEPs schedules to ensure project level agreements are executed in a timely manner.
- Performs other job responsibilities as assigned. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline. Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year per year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications
Experience: 5 YEARS construction project management; project management, process engineering and/or business process improvement methodologies. (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent).
Licenses And Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
- May require certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma Black Belt or one or more change managementdisciplines. Competencies:

- Sedentary work: Lift up to 10 lbs at a time and occasionally carry files/small tools
