The growing team at the Archdiocese of Baltimore (AOB) is made up of “field locations” comprised of 40 schools and 108 parishes throughout the State of Maryland, and our Central Services Building, located at 320 Cathedral Street in downtown Baltimore.

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is an integral role supporting the recruitment function.  It contributes to the overall success of the entire Human Resource Department by providing a high level of customer service, administrative support, and project coordination throughout the recruiting process.  The Talent Acquisition Coordinator’s primary role is to work with our applicant tracking system (UKG) to create, post, review, forward, and close applicant profiles for positions within our schools, parishes, and Central Services building.  Additional responsibilities include registering for and attending recruitment-related functions, assisting in the implementation of onboarding, and providing continuous improvement to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the Archdiocese of Baltimore.  The Coordinator will understand and work toward ensuring that our internal, external, and field customers remain satisfied with the service we provide, performing all duties promptly and in a position of trust, with a high level of dependability, accuracy, professionalism, and tact. 

Essential Functions

UKG/Applicant Tracking System Process Functions

  • Create all new positions within the framework of the UKG Applicant Tracking System
  • Post and close AOB positions, as directed
  • Maintain the Archbalt.com recruitment mailbox on a daily basis
  • Ensure the Manager’s Guide position listing is kept up to date
  • Provide ongoing customer service to all Central Services and Field Employees
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition Manager to troubleshoot job posting related issues within the scope of this role
  • Review resumes for general qualifications and disbursement
  • Forward applicant profiles on an ongoing basis, as directed
  • Initiate and maintain constant contact with hiring managers and designated colleagues to ensure progress in filling and closing out postings
  • Once acclimated to the system, serve as a resource in the use of and training for the applicant tracking system, within the scope of this position

General Recruitment Functions

  • Register for various functions and career events, assisting the team with the set-up of each
  • Attend and market the AOB as an employer of choice at various AOB career events
  • Work with the Recruiting Team to support continuous improvement of all facets of the full recruitment process
  • Assist with screening candidates, as directed
  • Coordinate and support the sourcing of a diverse and qualified applicant pool
  • Provide prompt and exemplary customer service to all internal, external, and field customers on a continuous basis
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition Manager to track participation for all recruitment related events attended
  • Work on recruitment and other Human Resource related projects, as needed and as directed
  • Act as backup to other AOB Human Resource team members, as needed

Contribution to the Onboarding Function

  • Work with the Talent Acquisition Manager in initiating and providing prompt follow-though on at all stages of the AOB pre-employment checking process for all Central Service employees
  • Provide ongoing back-up for all Central Services New Hire Orientations
  • Assist in completing Personnel Action Forms (PAF’s) and AOB Cognito Forms

Required Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated solid skills within a professional office environment
  • A passion for contributing to a large team with many field offices throughout the state of Maryland
  • Experience within a Human Resource Office is a plus, including laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to the recruitment function

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to demonstrate a strong aptitude for learning software
  • Experience with UKG preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point
  • A solid knowledge of Adobe Office Suite
  • Ability to demonstrate strong time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work through multiple projects to closure, providing timely updates
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • A passion for working collaboratively, within a Human Resource Team
  • The ability to travel to field locations [within the State of Maryland], on an as-needed basis
  • Understanding of the mission of the Catholic Church and ability to support it within scope of job duties

Pay Range:  $25.96 - 28.85, Hourly
