We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Public Relations Associate to join our Houston team. In this role, you will support client communication strategies, media outreach, press engagement, and reputation management. You will collaborate with internal teams and clients to craft compelling narratives and ensure consistent, on-brand messaging across all public-facing materials.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of strategic PR campaigns
- Write and edit press releases, pitches, company bios, and client materials
- Coordinate with media outlets and maintain strong press relationships
- Track media coverage, prepare reports, and manage press clippings
- Support the planning and execution of PR events and press conferences
- Conduct research to identify new PR opportunities and monitor industry trends
- Liaise with clients to ensure timely communication and deliverable alignment
- Collaborate with team members on crisis communication strategies when needed
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
- 1–3 years of professional experience in public relations or communications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of media relations tools and databases
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with AP style and press release formatting
- Experience in B2B or agency settings is a plus
