Quality Engineers( Kafka testing experience)

Responsibilities Of The Resource(S):

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and automated scripts for Kafka-based applications and microservices. Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing for streaming applications. Validate Kafka components – producers, consumers, topics, partitions, offsets, schemas, and message flows. Ensure data integrity, ordering, duplication handling, and schema compliance (Avro/JSON/Protobuf). Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution using defect tracking systems. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, DevOps, and product managers to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage. Contribute to and enhance test automation frameworks and continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines. Troubleshoot Kafka-related issues by analyzing logs, broker health, and message delivery failures. Support performance and load testing for high-throughput Kafka clusters. Ensure adherence to QA best practices, processes, and standards across projects.

Skills/ Tools Knowledge Required:

Strong QA/Testing background (functional, integration, performance, and automation). Hands-on experience with testing Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect, and Kafka Streams. Proficiency in testing event-driven and streaming applications. Good understanding of messaging concepts (publish-subscribe, consumer groups, partitions, offsets). Knowledge of serialization formats (Avro, JSON, Protobuf). Experience with test automation frameworks (Java, Python, or similar).
