Job Description: 

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Gen-AI Project Manager to lead and manage the execution of critical projects within the insurance domain. This role will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end project delivery, from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in project management, insurance claims processes, and stakeholder engagement, along with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects related to insurance claims systems, tools, and processes.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, manage resources, budgets, and schedules, and ensure on-time delivery of milestones.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact for business and technical stakeholders across the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication on project status, risks, dependencies, and changes.
  • Gather, document, and validate requirements from business units and ensure alignment with technical teams.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Proactively identify and assess risks and issues impacting project outcomes.
  • Define and implement mitigation strategies to address risks promptly.
  • Escalate critical issues when necessary to ensure swift resolution.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure deliverables meet or exceed quality standards by collaborating closely with development, QA, and operations teams.
  • Conduct reviews, inspections, and audits to verify compliance with defined processes and requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering, operations, and product teams to align on project requirements and deliverables.
  • Facilitate collaboration between business and technical teams to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and partners where applicable.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and monitor progress against goals, schedules, and budgets.
  • Provide timely status reports and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Conduct retrospectives and lessons-learned sessions to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the insurance or claims domain.
  • Demonstrated success in managing projects related to claims processing, policy management, or other core insurance functions.
  • Deep understanding of insurance claims workflows, including intake, processing, adjudication, and settlement.

Project Management Skills

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools (Jira, Microsoft Project, Trello, Rally, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Certifications (Preferred, not mandatory)

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Insurance industry certifications (AINS, CPCU) are a plus.
