Integrated Air & Missile Defense Systems (IAMDS) department is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer with technical expertise and systems engineering skills to design and support System of Systems (SoS) in an agile, model-based development environment. IAMDS leads all aspects of Systems Engineering that drive the development of complex systems to support the Raytheon Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) mission area from our Tewksbury, MA location.  The IAMDS department supports Raytheon by cultivating a world-class group of systems thinkers who work together as a team to architect technical solutions to some of the world’s toughest challenges.

This position is onsite in Tewksbury, MA

What You Will Do:

• You will be responsible for concept and requirements development, including decomposition and flow-down
• You will be responsible for developing and maintaining system design and requirements documents including
• Concept of Operations (CONOPS)
• System/Subsystem Design Documents (SSDD)

• System/Software Requirements (Srd/Srs)

• Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
• Communicate with cross-discipline engineering teams to coordinate system design plans and software/hardware/network requirements
• Provide Engineering sustainment support to fielded tactical C5I systems
• Manage technical risks by evaluating design options

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, & Intelligence (C4I) systems
• Experience with System Engineering processes, tools, and development lifecycle
• Active/Existing security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. 

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience in Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) and Cameo Enterprise Architecture tool
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and lead technical efforts spanning multiple engineering disciplines and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and our programs’ customers
• Analytic, technical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning
• Experience with design of system level architecture
• Excellent communications skills, verbal and written, with technical, customer and senior leadership audiences
• Familiarity with MATLAB, DOORS, and MS Office

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
