As SW Test Engineer you will become part of a small team with 5 colleagues. Due to the variety in products produced by Stoneridge the team will work on different projects at the same time. The SW for the products are mainly written in C, C++ or Embedded Linux.

As SW test engineer you will become part of the team that will verify if the SW implementations are working as expected against the requirement or defined use cases. To perform the testing several tools are used like Vector tools, Py-thon, Docker, Robot framework, Jenkins.

As SW test engineer you will work closely with the SW and project team to ensure that the made SW will be stable and comply with the requirements.

In the role as SW Test Engineer you will also build your own test setups and support on system / field testing and warranty investigations if needed.

In short :-) You will become a key player in making the daily traffic and work environments around the globe more safe by ensure stable and reliable SW according to the requirements.

Description Of Activities:

A. Activities:

  • Analyze customer requirements and product definitions to create test cases to ensure a complete validation of the products / systems;
  • Ensure traceable documentation of used testing equipment, methods and test results according to A-spice;
  • Support in the project teams to schedule the needed time for SW testing;
  • Write, create and maintain test cases with respect to requirements or defined use cases;
  • Can be with Vector tooling or Python, depending on the product.
  • Be responsible for design and maintenance of required tools and test set-ups;
  • Support field test activities;
  • Give support to others in relation to embedded software and testing;
  • Control own activity planning in relation to project plannings;
  • Create and maintain Jira tickets in case of issues found during testing.

B. Other Activities

  • Support warranty activities in case needed;
  • Registers worked hours, along with description of project;
  • Support offshore teams with respect to SW testing.

Knowledge And Skills:

  • You have a HBO degree focused on embedded technology (for example ICT or embedded engineering) and you have detailed knowledge of embedded s/w languages;
  • You have knowledge of embedded operating systems, Linux, Windows, networking technologies (CAN, Ethernet,…);
  • You have knowledge of (Automotive-)SPICE s/w development methodology and automotive core tools like FMEA;
  • You have experience with s/w unit- system- and integration testing, and it’s applicable tools, languages and methods;
  • You have the ability to understand and analyze electronic hardware and schematics;
  • You have experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines (CI/CD);
  • You have knowledge of agile product development methodologies;
  • You have strong communication skills and can communicate with multiple disciplines and layers in the organization In English / Dutch is preferred.
  • Prefer: ISTQB certified on at least the foundation level.
  • You can build your own test setups if needed.
  • You are willing to travel occasionally inside and outside of the Netherlands.
  • Willing to work at least 3 days from the office.
  • You need to have a valid work visa for The Netherlands!

The candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • Experience in a software test environment
  • Experience with Python, Robot Framework, and Jenkins is essential.
  • Experience with Docker and Vector is a plus.
  • ISTQB certification is a plus.
  • Willing to work at the office in Barneveld for at least 3 days a week.
  • Ability to independently build test setups.
