About the Role

Lead a team of Health value-added services (VAS) managers to drive the end-to-end creation and execution of differentiated health propositions, value-added services, and ecosystem solutions. This role is pivotal in meeting the evolving needs of diverse customer segments and achieving company KPIs. Through strategic partnership development, services and ecosystem design, effective channel engagement, and promotional initiatives, the Director empowers health business growth and reinforces our position as a lifelong health partner.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Strategy Formulation and Transformation

  • Develop and lead a holistic Health Proposition strategy, integrating market insights, customer needs, channel feedback, and strategic priorities.
  • Drive continuous innovation and enhancement of customer-led integrated propositions, including products, ecosystem services, and planning tools.
  • Champion transformation initiatives aligned with the company’s health vision and long-term strategic goals.
  • Formulate business cases, covering business model, cost model, customer engagement plan and obtain the relevant clearances.

2. Partnership Sourcing, Negotiation, Onboarding, and Management

  • Identify and evaluate strategic partnership opportunities in healthcare and wellness to support sustainable business growth.
  • Lead negotiations and onboarding processes with external partners, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer value.
  • Manage ongoing partner relationships to ensure service quality, innovation, and mutual value creation.

3. Proposition Development and Ecosystem Integration

  • Build customer-centric value-added services in collaboration with healthcare and wellness partners.
  • Design propositions that drive steerage and claims savings, working closely with internal stakeholders and external providers.
  • Collaborate with Health Digital and Wellness Centre teams to integrate digital solutions with offline services, creating a seamless customer experience.


 

4. Integrated Healthcare Strategy (IHS) Execution

  • Lead the team to support the execution of Pillar 1A of the Integrated Healthcare Strategy (Health Products and Services), ensuring delivery against defined KPIs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments, Group Office, and external partners to implement initiatives that meet strategic objectives.


 

5. Promotional Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Position health propositions as a key sales enabler and differentiator for health products.
  • Partner with Business Development and Training teams to build awareness among channels
  • Develop promotional strategies and tools to raise awareness among customers, driving uptake and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to strengthen the company’s market position in health by identifying new business opportunities and customer engagement strategies and lead thought leadership in health and wellness.
  • Foster strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support proposition success.

6. Market Intelligence and Innovation

  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and practices in health and wellness.
  • Initiate in-depth market research and analysis to inform proposition enhancements and ecosystem development.
  • Recommend innovative solutions and alternatives to elevate the current Health & Wellness offerings.

7. Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of VAS Managers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and customer-centricity.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and performance management to ensure team success.
  • Motivate and build a high-performing, collaborative team environment.
  • Develop governance frameworks and streamlined work processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth daily operations.

8. Governance and Compliance

  • Ensure all initiatives and partnerships adhere to internal compliance standards and external regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain robust governance practices across proposition development and partner management.

9. Ad Hoc Projects

Provide strategic and operational support to Head of Health Proposition for strategic projects and initiatives

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Insurance, Business, Actuarial or Healthcare
  • Relevant industry experience with 12+ years of insurance and healthcare experience
  • Proficient knowledge on insurance products, healthcare and wellness services and ecosystem in Hong Kong. Knowledge in Mainland China and cross border services is a plus.
  • Proven experience in health proposition development, strategic planning, and partnership management.
  • Track record of ideation and launch of healthcare services and ecosystem is a must
  • Resourceful in healthcare partners and provider network in Hong Kong and China
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for innovation.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience influencing cross-functional teams and ability to develop a high-performance team with diverse background
  • Excellent presentation skills, proficient in analyzing and clearly articulating data and reports, customer insights and researches in a manner easily understood in oral and written format
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Capable to operate in a fast-paced environment, able to work under pressure on multiple priorities
  • Agile mindset to deal with a constantly changing macroeconomic setting and customer behaviors
  • Must be collaborative and able to build internal and external relationships
  • Proven project management experience of complex projects
  • Excellent communication skills, proficient in English, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
