Job Description Summary

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and govern the enterprise-wide AI program portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. across the three pillars of the AI program: Foundational, Flagship and Everyday AI
- Serve as an industry expert and core member of the company's AI program to bring appropriate AI use and adoption to Nationwide, including analysis of market trends, AI adoption practices, competitive landscape evaluation.
- Establish financial management and business case processes. Drive value for the overall AI program.
- Partner with the office of Finance, Technology, and Business Units to create the appropriate model of centralized and federated capabilities
- Lead project teams, clear issues, manage risks and execute the program roadmap.
- Oversee delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary projects or programs, working across IT, business process, and technical domains.
- Lead the change management efforts to drive AI adoption across the organization, including communication, and stakeholder alignment
- Align program goals and deliverables to obtain business value by defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of AI initiatives on business outcomes.
- Recognize new technology possibilities and organize resources, funding, and communication needed to transform them into useful products, processes and capabilities.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to SVP, Chief Innovation and Digital Officer.
Typical Skills And Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate studies in management information systems, mathematics, business administration or related fields.
License/Certification/Designation: Expert level knowledge of program and project mgmt. PMI’s PMP Certification desired.
Experience: Minimum ten years of experience in program management, preferably at a senior or executive level, with progressively larger portfolios and direct reports. Background in IT program management, business transformation, or enterprise-scale project delivery preferred.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Excellent communication (verbal, written, facilitation, negotiation, and presentation) skills. The ability to provide technical, project, and people leadership skills. Technical aptitude and the ability to move in a fast paced environment. Solid technical understanding of AI capabilities and ability to learn the quick moving pace of AI. Demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional teams in high-stakes environments. Advanced knowledge of program management methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Frequent travel within assigned region.
