We are seeking an experienced Claims/Insurance professional to join our Aviation Claims Team at Marsh. This role will be based in Norwich. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The Aviation team is highly specialist, covering a range of claims within the following areas: Aerospace, General Aviation, Airlines, Accident & Health and Space. The successful candidate will ideally have a background in claims and be looking to make the next step in their insurance career. As the world's leading Broker, you will have the opportunity to work on large, complex, global insurance contracts, involving multiple insurers and high value insurance placements.
Please note, these are not call centre roles and are technical in nature.
We will rely on you to:
- Receive, handle and manage new claim notification, subsequent updates and collection requests.
- Negotiate with Insurers/suppliers to achieve the most beneficial, cost-effective settlement for Clients
- Review and interpret policy wordings to obtain the best claims settlements for Clients
- Meet agreed standards of accuracy, service, work volumes, and other performance targets in line with bespoke Client SLA’s.
- Handle and case manage claims and contribute to the satisfactory resolution of complex and/or contentious issues.
What You Need To Have:
- Previous claims handling/insurance experience, with either an Insurer or Broker.
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical and conscientious approach.
- Planning and organisational skills.
- Quick to take on-board new information which is technical in nature.
- Analytically minded with the ability to resolve complex queries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Able to promote continuous improvement and respond positively to change.
- Good standard of education.
What Makes You Stand Out:
- For consideration for a more senior level position, previous training, coaching and mentoring experience together with prior experience of operating at a senior level, would be ideal.
- CII qualifications or a willingness to study for and obtain.
