Position Summary
Detail-oriented Construction Draw Specialist to manage the replacement reserve reimbursement process for our 280 multifamily affordable housing properties. This role focuses exclusively on preparing and submitting reimbursement requests to lenders and syndicators for capital and reimbursable expenditures across our property portfolio.
Essential Responsibilities
- Prepare complete reimbursement request packages including cover letters, itemized expense lists, bank statements, balance sheets, trial balances, invoices, and proof of payment
- Pull eligible expenses from appropriate general ledger accounts
- Ensure all financial documents tie out properly between bank statements, balance sheets, and trial balances
- Submit reimbursement requests following program guidelines and requirements
- Coordinate with property managers to obtain necessary documentation and approvals
- Track reimbursement requests through completion and follow up on outstanding items
- Maintain organized files and documentation for all reimbursement activities
- Review expenditures for compliance with program requirements and eligible use guidelines
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or associate’s degree in accounting
- 2 -5 years of experience with construction draws or similar reimbursement processes preferred.
- Proficiency with Yardi software and Excel required
- Understanding of basic accounting principles including trial balances and balance sheet reconciliation, bookkeeping experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent written communication skills for correspondence with lenders and agencies
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of LIHTC or Rural Development program requirements
- Experience with affordable housing or property management accounting
- Familiarity with replacement reserve processes
