Why this role is important for us
As a Lead Principal, Client Solutions within our Business Services, this role is important as you will be responsible for coordinating and aligning the client pipeline with on-boarding capacity, functionality, and business continuity. You will be involved in handling Business Services sales prospects by collaborating closely with the global commercial leader of Business Services, who will be responsible for overseeing all commercial functions as well as working closely with the onboarding team. You will be handling Business Services opportunities and assessing delivery requirements in relation to functionality, onboarding capacity, and business case.
What you will be responsible for
Sales Pipeline Management: Create a comprehensive overview of the sales pipeline and manage Business Services capacity in collaboration with the sales team. Sales Participation: Participate in all Business Services sales cases alongside the sales team, providing advice and representing the Business Services offerings in sales meetings. Delivery Assessment: Assess each sales case from a delivery standpoint, ensuring a thorough understanding of client service requests in collaboration with relevant stakeholders from the Service Delivery unit. Functionality Gap Analysis: Identify functionality gaps between Business Services offerings and client requests. Commitment Management: Ensure commitment from Product Development (PD) and Professional Services (PS) teams regarding deliveries and timelines to address identified functionality gaps. On-boarding Coordination: Coordinate on-boarding timelines with the on-boarding unit to ensure smooth transitions for new clients. Business Services Opportunities: Cordinate Business Services opportunities between SaaS, PS, and PD to assess delivery requirements in relation to functionality, on-boarding capacity, and business case.
What We Value
10-20+ years of experience being responsible for investment management operations within an life insurance company or within an asset manager. In depth understanding of how to handle an Investment book or record, (IBOR), the underlying operational business flow (trade life cycle management, asset servicing, valuation and reconciliation). Further, the candidate should have good understanding of the different asset classes and instruments typically used by asset managers/life insurance companies. Have good understanding of different operational models (insourced/outsourced) within the asset management industry and be able to participate/advice clients on pros and cons for the different operating models Deep understanding of investment management solutions and business services models. Experience in coordinating and managing complex projects, particularly those involving multiple stakeholders and departments. Proficient ability to manage one's own tasks and drive initiatives, while also effectively collaborating with sales, product development, professional services, and on-boarding teams. Pre-condition (not just a beneficial add-on): In depth knowledge in running and operating SimCorp Dimension. Experienced in assessing delivery capabilities, identifying functionality gaps, and developing solutions to meet client needs. Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree is beneficial. Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the company in client-facing situations. Extensive analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on assessing delivery capabilities and timelines.
