JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the SVP of Product, the AVP of Design will lead design and user experience at Claritev to help shape our future of brilliant solutions that drive affordability and fairness in healthcare. This role will be responsible for ensuring a consistent, scalable, and accessible user experience across all digital products and platforms. You will work closely with Product, Marketing, Growth, Engineering, Innovation and senior stakeholders to align on a vision for design that scales best practices and drives innovation across the healthcare ecosystem. We're looking for someone with experience in building a mature Design and UX practice who can help us evolve our product solution lifecycle and ensure users are at the heart of our business.
JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Drive excellence in our solutions lifecycle by integrating user centered design practice into our product management approach, championing design thinking and a culture of research and prototyping
2. Work across the org to develop and execute a vision for an end-to-end Claritev experience
3. Work across the org to cultivate relationships that establish collaborative processes for understanding and meeting user needs
4. Build, lead and mentor a world class Design and User Experience team through strategic hiring, educational development and operational excellence
5. Establish a design system team to create a well-documented design system and governance model to scale on-brand best practices and accessible design patterns
6. Create design operations to ensure the team works effectively and creates impact
7. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
8. Demonstrate commitment to the Company's core values.

10. Select, develop, and evaluate staff to ensure the efficient operation of department.

QualificationsJOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):
* 15+ years of experience in digital design and user experience with a demonstrated ability to ship well-crafted and impactful user experiences
* 8+ years of experience in leading design teams with demonstrated experience in maturing a practice
* Experience in owning an end-to-end design process in an enterprise or SaaS setting that includes user experience, research, accessibility and design systems
* Experience in creating and maintaining standards, best practices and design operations.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to handle long-term and/or complex projects with significant financial business impact.
* Ability to use software, hardware, and peripherals related to job responsibilities
* Individual in this position must be able to work in a standard office environment which requires sitting and viewing monitor(s) for extended periods of time, operating standard office equipment such as, but not limited to, a keyboard, copier and telephone.
* Required licensures, professional certifications, and/or Board certifications as applicable

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $175K to $195K. Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
