Join our East Asia Region Team as Program Support Officer in the implementation of the day-to-day operations of the Australian Volunteers program in Mongolia!

AVI supports the implementation of the Australian Volunteers Program on behalf of the Australian Government. The Australian Volunteers Program supports skilled Australian volunteers to work alongside organisations to sustainably build the capacity of people, organisations and communities in various countries across the Pacific, Asia and Africa.

Role Overview

The Program Support Officer is responsible for providing a responsive, high quality volunteer support, operational and administrative assistance to support the effective operation of the Australian Volunteers Program in Mongolia.

Position Requirements

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience working with INGO, NGOs or within the development sector
  • A high level of computer literacy, including experience managing online finance and reporting software/systems
  • Demonstrated understanding of Mongolian government administration, processes and bureaucracy, especially related to tax & financial reporting
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills including the ability to take initiative, be flexible in work practices, set priorities, meet deadlines and achieve objectives
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency in English.
  • Strong administrative skills, including experience with databases, Microsoft Office, etc
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member
  • nterpersonal skills, especially the capacity to maintain open and constructive communication with a wide range of stakeholders in an international context

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary qualifications in financial administration, business management or relevant field.
