Senior Underwriter Renewable Energy

Job Purpose:

• To Underwrite, in conjunction with the other team members with responsibility for this geographic area, a profitable book of business located in Spain and Latin America.  
• To be responsible for client and broker relationships, production of new business opportunities and the tailoring of terms and conditions specific to this geographic area.  
• To contribute positively to the renewable energy underwriting team and to Tokio Marine HCC in general. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Profitability of the Spanish / Latin American book 
• Production of new business opportunities in both direct and reinsurance 
• Building and maintaining broker and client relationships  
• Compliance with all underwriting rules, limitations and guidelines 
• Production of a complete underwriting file for each risk written in line with the standard underwriting procedures and processes in place at TMHCC 
• Willingness to travel, when appropriate, to visit clients and brokers. 
• Experience within renewable energy insurance or related business classes (energy, power, construction) .
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail 
• Effective communicator and negotiator 
• Personable and collaborative nature
