Role Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Internal Communications Manager to join our Corporate Marketing team. In this new role, you will be responsible to help keep employees aligned and engaged by managing strategic internal communications programs. You will work cross-functionally to promote transparency, engagement and a clear understanding of our vision, goals, projects and strategies.
This position is perfect for a talented writer and strategist who thrives on collaboration and is results oriented. You'll partner with teams across the organization to bring our brand mission and story to life for every GTT employee.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy that supports our business objectives and fosters a positive company culture. This includes managing the organization-wide content calendar and helping determine the best channels to reach employees.
Create Compelling Content: Writing, editing and producing a wide range of content for internal audiences. This will include writing company-wide announcements, our weekly newsletter, intranet stories and employee FAQs, as well as editing and finalizing internal communications driven from other departments. The ability to develop engaging narratives is critical.
Manage and Improve Communication Channels: Oversee our internal communications platforms, including our SharePoint Intranet, Teams and Viva Engage. You will also support GTT’s Employee Communications Council to ensure communication alignment across the company.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with various departments, including Human Resources, Corporate and Product Marketing, Product, Sales, Service Assurance, Service Delivery and Engineering to ensure that all internal messages are consistent, accurate and aligned with GTT’s brand and mission. The ability to think strategically outside of internal communications will be important.
Measure Impact: Define key benchmarks to measure the effectiveness of your communication initiatives, ensuring our efforts are driving real results.
Stay Current: Keep up with the latest trends, tools and platforms in internal communications to identify and implement the best methods for reaching our employees.
Analyst Relations Support: In addition to managing employee communications, you will support our analyst customer reviews program, working closely with sales and customer support to drive year-round success.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in internal communications, preferably in the high technology industry.
Strong Writing and Editing: The ability to craft clear, compelling and concise content for a diverse audience. Storytelling ability is a must.
Strong Interpersonal Skills: The ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with people at all levels of the organization across the globe.
Project Management: The skill to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
Tools Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint and Viva Engage.
Creativity and Innovation: The drive to find new and engaging ways to reach GTT employees and tell the company's story.
Adaptability: The flexibility to respond quickly to new information and changing priorities.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or English preferred.
