Build Your Career At Iress!

The Asset & Compliance Lead is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and optimisation of Workplace Technology’s software and hardware asset portfolio. The role governs the end-to-end lifecycle of technology assets, from procurement through to disposal, with a strong emphasis on compliance, licensing, inventory accuracy, and commercial alignment.

This role will implement and oversee tooling and processes that drive data accuracy, audit readiness, licensing optimisation, and cost-effective lifecycle management. It plays a critical part in reducing financial and security risk, enabling better budgeting decisions, and ensuring users are equipped with compliant, current, and fit-for-purpose devices and software.

Some Of The Amazing Things You’Ll Be Involved In:

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all end user computing (EUC) hardware assets across all regions.
  • Govern device lifecycle tracking, including procurement, deployment, transfers, repairs, and disposal.
  • Manage reporting and insights into hardware health, currency (age, OS), and usage. Lead initiatives to right-size hardware fleets and support standardisation.
  • Ensure asset compliance with policies around encryption, security controls, and endpoint management (Intune, ABM, Jamf).
  • Maintain an accurate and compliant software license inventory across Workplace Tech-managed products.
  • Monitor entitlements, allocations, renewals, and usage across key platforms (e.g., Adobe, Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace). Work closely with vendors and procurement to optimise licensing costs and maintain compliance.
  • Provide regular reporting on license utilisation, shelfware, and renewal timelines.
  • Partnering with platform owners and products leads to validate licensing needs and strategic changes.
  • Own compliance reporting for EUC and software assets.
  • Develop dashboards and KPIs for asset lifecycle performance, device currency, license utilisation, and audit readiness.
  • Establish and uphold policies for asset issuance, reharvesting, return, and disposal.
  • Contribute to enterprise risk and compliance reporting as it relates to Workplace Technology assets.
  • Manage or influence tooling (e.g., Lansweeper, ServiceNow, JAMF, Intune) to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Drive automation opportunities in asset lifecycle and compliance management.
  • Collaborate with Service Management for alignment on ITSM processes (e.g., CMDB, request workflows).

What You Will Bring:

  • 5+ years experience in IT asset management, SAM, or workplace operations.
  • Strong understanding of hardware lifecycle and software licensing models (subscription, perpetual, SaaS).
  • Familiarity with enterprise tooling such as Intune, JAMF, Lansweeper, ServiceNow and SCCM.
  • Proven ability to develop governance frameworks, audit practices, and compliance reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder management and vendor negotiation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to data integrity and lifecycle optimisation.
  • ITIL Foundation or certification in IT Asset Management (CAMP, CSAM, or equivalent).
  • Exposure to ISO 19770 or similar standards.
  • Experience in a global or regional role within a tech-driven organisation
