Associate Sterile Processing Technician Full-time Evening

Associate Sterile Processing Technician at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. This position is Full-Time and will work 8-hour Evening shifts.

Under general supervision processes surgical instrumentation and supplies throughout the sterilization process using the appropriate personal protective equipment according to procedure.  Maintains instruments in a clean, working condition, and stores according to instrument directory.

High Level Disinfection: Under the immediate supervision of the High-level disinfection supervisor, the technician processes all fiber-optic endoscopes, video endoscopes, Endocavity probes, TEE probes, and all other equipment requiring high-level disinfection utilized by the operating room and ancillary departments.
Performs daily sterilizer biological monitoring, instrument sterilization, and all associated documentation. Is proficient in required competencies.

Required Qualifications:

• National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association within 1 year of hire, Or
• National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within 1 year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of Central Service Certification course, or sterile processing, instrument room, or central supply experience , Or
• Sterile processing, instrument room, or central supply experience.
• High-Level Disinfection: Training in decontamination, processing, sterilization, quality control Flexible scope reprocessing.
• Central Service Certification upon hire.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
