We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated full time Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Cordis Auckland. In this role, you’ll lead and support our housekeeping team to deliver the highest standards of cleanliness and service, ensuring every guest has a memorable stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete allocated daily task assignments and ensure the department runs smoothly.
- Monitor housekeeping operations, making evaluations and adjustments where needed.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication between desk control and housekeeping attendants on the floor.
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet Cordis brand standards before releasing.
- Update guest preferences and records to ensure we exceed expectations.
- Provide support, coaching, and mentoring to housekeeping attendants so the team succeeds together.
- Assist attendants in taking pride in their work and maintaining professionalism.
- Manage stock control, including linen, amenities, and cleaning supplies.
- Coordinate rosters, schedules, and leave to meet business demands.
- Uphold health & safety, hygiene, and hotel policies at all times.
Skills & Experience
In addition to the above, your skills and experience will include:
- Previous experience in a housekeeping leadership/supervisory role, ideally in a 5-star hotel environment.
- A background as a Room Attendant, with strong technical knowledge of housekeeping operations.
- Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- A strong desire to excel and develop your career in housekeeping.
- Good level of physical fitness (as the role is physically demanding).
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster (Monday–Sunday), including AM and PM shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
