We are seeking a dedicated Student Administration Supervisor to lead the delivery of high-quality, client-focused administrative services. Reporting to the Manager, Student & Academic Administration, this role ensures the smooth operation of student administration processes and provides ongoing training and support to Faculty staff in the use of corporate systems.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Lead and Develop Teams: Supervise the Faculty’s student administration staff, managing workflows, performance, leave, and training programs to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across the Faculty and Schools.

  • Deliver Expert Student Support: Provide accurate, timely advice on academic programs, policies, and procedures; manage complex student enquiries; and coordinate key student lifecycle activities including admissions, enrolments, progression, and graduations.

  • Drive Operational Excellence: Oversee the review and improvement of student administration processes, ensure compliance with legislation and policy, manage reporting and data integrity, and support strategic planning through research and analysis.

  • Represent and Collaborate: Act as a key liaison between Faculty, Schools, and Central Administration; represent the Faculty on committees and working groups; and support events and initiatives that enhance the student experience.

This is a full-time fixed-term position through to 19 June 2026 at HEW 7.

The role is based at Herston, some travel between campuses and other locations may be required.

About You

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree, with at least four years subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise staff, manage workloads, and coordinate day-to-day operations to meet service standards and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Working knowledge of university policies, procedures, and student information systems, or the ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally.

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with experience resolving routine issues and supporting a respectful and inclusive environment.

  • Proven ability to interpret policy, analyse issues, and implement practical solutions in a student administration context.

  • High level of accuracy in written work and data handling, with a commitment to maintaining quality and compliance across administrative processes.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgement, show initiative in non-routine situations, and adapt to change constructively.
