Research Associate-Pharmacist (Project PROPS), Paediatrics & Child Health -MC

Introduction:

The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to supervise all project related activities from field management to data collection, quality control of data collection and maintain good working relationship among staff & community. Specific responsibilities will be to:

• dispense medicines and supplements accurately as per prescriptions/protocols
• maintain inventory, storage conditions, and temperature logs
• ensure proper documentation of dispensing, supply, and returns
• adhere to regulatory and institutional guidelines for safety and compliance
• guide staff on proper handling and usage of pharmaceutical products
• support audits, inspections, and reporting requirements
• coordinating with the project supervisors to discuss field related activities
• oversee the project, simultaneously, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of research related activities.

Requirements:

You Should Have:

•  BDS, DPT, PharmD or equivalent
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• strong communication and interpersonal skills
• the ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently

• Good Writing Skills

• basic Knowledge of survey and other research designs
• data collection, analysis and interpretation in terms of report writing and biostatics
• strong interpersonal skills and communication
• integrity and strong research ethics;
• excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
• comfort with working in challenging field-based settings
• proven mixed methods research skills;
• strong people management skills, particularly in challenging field environment.
