About the Team: Financial Reporting at Ford Credit Global Business Center (FCGBC)
The Financial Reporting team is an integral part of the Ford Credit Global Business Center (FCGBC), a vital component of the broader Ford Credit organization. Ford Credit plays a strategic role in financing vehicle loans for both consumer and non-consumer segments. Based in Chennai, India, our team comprises over 40 experienced and qualified accounting professionals. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive month-end, quarter-end, and annual accounting services to more than 14 locations across Ford Credit Europe (FCE) and Ford Credit North America (FCNA).
Our key areas of focus within the financial reporting team include:
- Location Accounting: Handling end to end due diligence for month-end close processes for respective location in Europe and North America including Journal Preparation, Review, Reconciliation and Sub-ledger Preparation and Review, Balance Sheet and Income Statement Flux Analysis, Intercompany Accounting and other close related due diligence
- GAAP Reporting: Preparing IFRS and US GAAP reporting for 10K/10Q SEC Submissions, Robust Due Diligence around Consolidated Books in SAP Group Reporting
- Local Statutory Reporting: Preparation and Governance of statutory local reporting for financial statement preparation as per local GAAP and overseeing audit processes.
- Securitization Accounting: Specialized accounting for Special Purpose Entities (SPEs) related to FCE Bank and German Bank.
- European Financial Analysis - Forecasting and Monitoring of Head Count, Operating Cost and Management Reporting for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Daily
- Perform Daily JVs’ and ensure Daily Journals are posted into SAP.
- Review the daily Checklist and ensure all activities are completed
- Daily review of Generic-id emails and respond within 24 Hrs.
Monthly
- Download month-end Reports from Receivables Subledger System
- Month-end journals are posted as per Standard list in SAP
- Upload all posted JVs into EDMS
- Manual Sub-ledger preparation
- Review and Update the Desk Procedures’ as when changes are required
- Prepare the monthly metrics
Annually
- Participate in BDO process walkthroughs, support GAO audits.
- Ensure all procedures are reviewed at least annually
- Support MCRP design and testing, including spreadsheet control tasks
General - Ongoing
- Maintain Business Continuity Plan.
- Review Finance Manual changes and consider impact on the team’s responsibilities.
- Ad-hoc projects as required
Essential:
- The candidate should have a core Accounting Acumen.
- A high degree of PC literacy, including knowledge of Excel & SAP.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills, with ability to deliver within deadlines
- To understand what the fair treatment of customers means and to ensure this is consistently incorporated into the role as appropriate.
- Portray high level of Integrity at work and have a learning dynamic mindset
Desirable:
- IFRS Knowledge
- SAP system experience
- The position requires a degree of flexibility in working hours when meeting strict month-end
timings and deadlines
