Technical Documentation Specialist

Responsibilities :

• Develop, edit, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including:
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to gather information and translate it into accessible, accurate documents.
• Service operations and maintenance manuals
• Installation and procedure guides
• Manufacturing process instruction (MPI)
• Manufacturing test instruction (MTI)
• Research and interpret engineering change orders (ECOs), drawings, requirement specifications, and test documentation.
• Create documentation within MES (Manufacturing Execution System) to align directly with manufacturing workflows.
• Create technical graphics, illustrations, and visuals to enhance clarity and usability.
• Ensure all documentation meets company standards for accuracy, style, and consistency.
• Manage version control and maintain electronic archives of all documents.
• Continuously improve documentation quality by integrating user feedback and best practices.
• Any other ad-hoc assignment according to business needs.
• Education:  Bachelor’s degree (Journalism, English, Technical Communication, or related fields.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Experience:  3+ years of proven technical writing experience, preferably in manufacturing, automation, or electromechanical industries.

• Skills/Technical Requirements:

• Good command of English writing and editing, with the ability to simplify complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
• Proficient in Adobe FrameMaker, with expertise in advanced template design, style management, and automation for efficient publishing
• Knowledge of CAD and graphics tools, including SolidWorks/eDrawing, Photoshop, Illustrator, and SolidWorks Visualize, to create impactful technical visuals.
• Advanced use of Adobe Acrobat, including review workflows, annotations, and interactive form creation.
• Strong understanding of Engineering Change process (ECOs) and the integration of technical documentation into product development lifecycles.
• Proven ability to structure large-scale technical documents, such as multi-volume manuals and complex instruction sets.
• Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution System) for creating, managing, and publishing documentation is a strong plus.
• Skilled in documentation frameworks, version control, and style guide enforcement to ensure consistency across multiple projects and deliverables.
