Position Summary:
Serves as employment expert for in assigned service lines. Designs, implements, and executes strategic physician and advanced practice provider (APP) recruitment programs, supporting the recruitment and retention strategy of the organization.
Education, License & Cert:
Associates degree is Required. Preference to given to degrees in Human Resources, Marketing, or Health‐Related fields. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Experience:
3‐5 years prior work experience is required. Experience with recruitment sourcing, healthcare &/or marketing is preferred. AAPPR Fellowship Certification is preferred. Exposure to and thorough understanding of PC software applications is required.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains thorough understanding of the criteria developed for each assigned search through collaboration with lead physician and administrators. Maintains understanding of current wage scales and benefits. Develops and implements a recruitment strategy (local or national) for vacant positions, including traditional and digital advertising, virtual and in‐person job fairs and recruitment events.
- Provides guidance to hiring team during the selection process. Screens candidates to ensure they meet the requirements of the position and are committed to working in an environment of patient centered care, committed to excellence in a team environment. Assesses personnel files to assist in the internal selection processes.
- Implements all activities associated with provider recruitment, with support of department coordinator, including the completion of all required paperwork; scheduling interviews; making travel arrangements, and pre‐hire credentialing. Documents all recruitment activity as required for internal reporting.
- Shows flexibility and the ability to prioritize work in accordance with changing deadlines. Works independently with urgency to complete a deadline. Demonstrates a professional and adaptable demeanor and an ability to overcome objections and manage projects to a close.
- Actively seeks collaboration with other areas of the organization to ensure quality experience for candidates.
- Weeknight and weekend availability are occasionally required.
- Travel for this position is required.
- Driver’s license, excellent driving record and means of transportation are required.
