Join the Thermal Systems Design team at GE Aerospace Advanced Technology in Garching, Munich, as a Working Student/Intern, and leverage your technical & analytical skills to contribute to groundbreaking advancements in cutting-edge Thermal technology in support of GE Aerospace’s ongoing engine development programs. Gain hands-on experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and be part of a team pushing the boundaries of aerospace engineering.

Start: October/November. Duration: min. 6 months. Working hours: 20h/week

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Munich Thermal Systems Design team on heat exchanger development and other thermal technology development efforts.
• Execute computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analyses, post-processing, and data analysis.
• Define and evaluate CAD models and engineering drawings of rig hardware.
• Compile documentation on test instrumentation and hardware inspection reports.
• Prepare and present detailed reports summarizing findings and progress to team members and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Students minimum at 3rd year of University (BSc.) or MSc. in disciplines such as Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering are preferred.
• Experience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD), heat transfer, and thermal design.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to summarize complex technical information clearly and concisely.
• Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive mindset with a drive to tackle challenges and achieve results.
