Summary:

The position is responsible for leading all Service Franchise activities in defined territory, including supervising a team of Field Service Engineers (FSE). It is responsible for P/L associated with that activity.

The position ensures the operations of internal and external Technical Service teams, with compliance with the company requirements and service levels defined by the functions and the contractual agreements.

It is responsible for providing service, training and consultancy to ensure optimal device performance and sales delivery, care, a high standard of customer support and efficient productivity.

Perform sales support activities and define new service offering within the geographical area of responsibility.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain communication & partnership with customers, 3rd party service providers, distributors, team members and business contacts
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable service and quality requirements
  • Report on all relevant activities, to ensure updated and accurate service data in the service system
  • Support/help to identify new sales opportunities/work with customers and/or 3rd party service providers and/or distributors to define new service package offering aligned with customer expectation and within the frame of Vantive TS commercial strategy
  • Fully integrate the Field Service team, producing a training plan to maximize operational efficiency
  • Supervise, coordinate & motivate the internal and/or external Field Service teams ensuring the continued quality of service to both internal & external customers
  • Supervise internal Engineers training records and ensure all Quality criteria and SOPs are implemented and adhered to
  • Supervise all aspects of recruitment and retention of staff, including performance and productivity of Field
  • Looking for opportunities to grow direct sales through service contracts and being responsible for achieving sales targets
  • Coordinate, install, service, maintain, upgrade or execute Field Actions on electro-mechanical medical devices as per defined service requirements and customer contractual agreements in the defined area of responsibility
  • Ensure effective compliance to all Quality system requirements that are applicable to Field Technical Service team
  • Establish an excellent partnership with other Vantive functions and distributors
  • Responsible for achieving Field Technical Service-related objectives including KPI’S. Supervise and provide activity, equipment and reliability data to the division and business when requested
  • Control Field Technical Service expenses and revenue in compliance with budget and forecast
  • Supervise assigned car stock, spare parts and assets (instruments, tools) as per storage requirements and instructions. Ensure manual replacements orders are performed timely and on purpose
  • He/she can be involved to support Regional spare part Supply Chain organization Country/Cluster management to review car stock requirements assigned to FSE

Education

  • This function requires a technical degree (Electrical-Electronics, Machinery, Physics, Biomedical Engineering) or equivalent through experience
  • Excellent engineering background and experience as service engineer on electromechanical devices
