Position requires working during Midterms and Finals.
Must NOT be a Chemistry major student; must have passed CHM2045 and CHM2046, or not need to take these courses as part of program of study.

Job Description:An exam proctor for General Chemistry is needed to assist in supporting exam proctoring for exams and assessments. Students interested in this position are asked to commit to at least 2 semesters of employment, with the opportunity to stay in the position until they graduate. Exam proctors are expected to work in the office and keep a punctual schedule; your supervisor will work with you to determine your availability, and the position may be flexible in scheduling. Preference may be given to applicants with Monday/Tuesday availability for Fall 2025. Exam proctors are expected to be professional and responsible stewards of exams and course materials. Some aspects of the job include, but are not limited to:
Prepare exam materials according to students’ scheduled exams and instructors’ directions
Package and return exam materials to faculty/staff members
Monitor students taking exams through direct observation to ensure compliance with the UF Honor Code after being trained
Report all violations or suspected violations of the Honor Code to staff and faculty supervisors
Proctor exams by seating students in assigned testing rooms; checking ID of testing students
Starting and stopping exams at the appropriate time
Managing the conflict exam storage system and assisting with student exam scheduling
Attending periodic staff meetings and training sessions
Assist in keeping orderly filing; helps in maintaining exam storage, files, and records organization and retention
Confidentiality of student records, exam materials; student must not share exam content or student information in any way that violates the Honor Code or violates FERPA
Campus errands, filing, and other office tasks may be assigned, as needed

Required Qualifications:Must receive or be eligible to receive Federal Work Study
Students must have a minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA
Must be in good academic and conduct standing with the University of Florida
Preferred:Prefer someone with availability Monday/Tuesday in at least a 3 hour block each of those days for Fall 2025; Spring 2026 schedule unimportant for Fall hiring
