About the Role
As our Head of People and Culture, you’ll play an essential role in shaping and scaling our company culture, leading the people team, and ensuring that the Coinmerce Group continues to be a place where people can do their best work. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, you will drive our people strategy across all aspects of the employee experience. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about creating a workplace where everyone feels respected and motivated to grow.

This role is both strategic and hands-on. You'll be responsible for evolving our people operations and ensuring we remain values-driven, and future-ready.

Your key responsibilities: 

  • Culture & engagement: define, embed, and strengthen culture; drive inclusion, engagement, and retention

  • People strategy & leadership: set people strategy, manage the people team, and act as advisor to managers and senior leadership

  • Operations & compliance: ensure HR operational excellence and oversee global legal and compliance.

  • Performance & development: lead performance management and implement learning and career development programs to ensure every team member has a clear path for career progression

  • Employee relations: foster a fair, respectful workplace

The key projects in your first 12 months:

  • Strengthening our employer brand in close cooperation with marketing : improving candidate and employee experiences, promoting company values and benefits to attract and retain top talent/position Coinmerce as an employer of choice

  • Lead post-merger integration: drive the integration of multiple acquired companies into a unified, high-performing culture where everyone works as one team

  • Lead strategic workforce planning: align talent and structure with current needs and long-term business goals.

  • Implementing a culture of excellence: creating an environment where clear goals, accountability, and continuous growth are part of how we work every day


Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a people management role, preferably within a VC-backed scale-up environment (200+ team) 

  • Relevant HR experience managing teams across a minimum of two European countries

  • Experience in acquiring and integrating new teams in a high growth environment is a plus

Skills:

  • Combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution

  • Comfortable with advising and challenging senior leaders on a daily basis

  • Excellent project and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to navigate evolving roles, goals, and strategies.

  • Familiarity with Dutch labour law

  • Speak Dutch and English
