Job Description
This TA Professional opening primarily supports nurse recruitment at Lake Forest Hospital. The position is a M-F hybrid work model - a combination of remote and onsite work schedule due to hiring events and other required onsite activities.
The Talent Acquisition Professional reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Develops strategies to attract and recruit candidates to create a robust candidate pipeline both internally and externally for current and future employment opportunities.
- Identifies and makes initial contact with internal/externals to determine the best match to current and future openings.
- Posting process (internal) and additional sourcing techniques (e.g. advertisements,
Social media networking, etc.)
- Creates and maintains a flow of candidates by utilizing various the following:
- Advanced internet searching skills
- Industry research
- Resume mining
- Referrals
- Cold calling
- Search firm
- Other highly advanced recruitment techniques for current and future positions
- Screens resumes, transfer requests, and phone callers to identify the candidates most suited to
the needs of the positions.
- Offers career discussions with internal employees.
- Maintains relationships with internals, externals, and employee referrals to develop talent pipelines.
- Develops, maintains and evaluates University/Career Fair Recruitment Plans for identified hard to fill positions within, Nursing, Allied Health, and Management.
- Develops, coordinates and monitors effectiveness of all recruitment events and programs.
- Negotiates with and manages outside search firms.
- Supports the Affirmative Action initiatives by assisting in the development and implementation
of strategies to recruit qualified minority candidates.
Relationship Management
- Works collaboratively with hiring managers in determining departmental staffing needs, position specifications, and recruitment and labor market trends.
- Negotiates and adjusts terms of SLA’s in collaboration with hiring managers. Orients new managers to the recruitment function and the recruitment process workflow at NMH.
- Routinely collaborates with hiring managers and attends leadership meetings to gain a robust knowledge of the department’s mission, business strategies, and operational challenges, to effectively assist in recruitment and retention efforts.
- Teams with the sourcing team to ensure they become experts on the needs of assigned client departments and specialties, to ensure the continuous development of talent pipelines.
- Assists and advises managers in reviewing their open positions and making any necessary adjustments to position duties and/or qualifications prior to initiating the recruitment process.
- Collaborates with hiring managers to offer feedback on each candidate’s strengths, potential development needs and career objectives.
- Extends and negotiates salary offers with candidates, in collaboration with Compensation and hiring managers, and provides status updates to hiring manger throughout the process.
- Assists hiring managers in interpreting Human Resource policies and procedures.
- Maintains current knowledge of Human Resources and Employment issues through attendance at conferences/workshops, professional affiliations, and webinars, and reading pertinent articles and publications.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years of recruitment experience.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Advanced computer proficiency in WORD and EXCEL and other social networking abilities.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Preferred:
- Previous healthcare recruitment experience.
- Proficiency in PeopleSoft.
- PHR, AIRS Certification.
