Job Description

At Syngenta, our goal is to build the most collaborative and trustworthy team in agriculture, providing top- quality seeds and innovative crop protection solutions that improve farmers' success. To support this mission, Syngenta’s HR Operations Team is seeking a HR Operations Lead in Montevideo. This role will be responsible for overseeing and directing all human resources operations in the region Sur and Andean (Cluster Pacific), ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with policies and procedures. This role will play a key part in implementing HR strategies and supporting the operational needs of the business in the region.

Accountabilities:

  • Supervise and manage all human resources operations, including payroll, benefits, employee data management, compliance, and more, to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with local HR teams to ensure consistency and compliance with policies and procedures across the region.
  • Participate in transformation projects, with ability to manage multiple deliverables underdemanding deadlines
  • Seek, develop and implement standardized processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance in all countries within the region.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in HR operations, identifying opportunities to optimize processes and systems.
  • Monitor KPIs and metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR operations and drive improvements.
  • Drive the achievement of HR operational objectives and key results, ensuring that the team meets or exceeds performance targets.
  • Identify and support the professional development needs of the HR operations team, fostering a high-performance and growth-oriented environment.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the HR operations team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous development.
  • Collaborate with global HR teams and other functional leaders to ensure alignment of HR operations with the company's strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • Professionals graduated in Business, Administration, or HR-related fields (Labor Relations, Psychology, etc.)
  • Fluent level of Spanish and intermediate level of English
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in an HR operations role or a similar position, preferably at a regional level.
  • Relevant experience in Leading People
  • Demonstrated experience in transformation initiatives, with proven ability to successfully manage multiple deliverables and meet critical deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated skills in team management and implementation of standardized processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
