Donor Database & Insights Specialist

(40 hours/week)

Waterloo Office (In-Office)

 

Are you detail-oriented, data-driven, and passionate about making a difference through donor engagement? Karis Disability Services is seeking a Donor Database & Insights Specialist to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of our donor data systems and support strategic fundraising efforts.

 

This role is central to maintaining accurate donor records, processing gifts with precision, and delivering insightful analysis that drives donor engagement and campaign success. You’ll be the go-to expert for our donor database, supporting the fundraising team with timely reporting, segmentation, and stewardship coordination.

 

Key Responsibilities

Gift Processing & Donor Records

  • Accurately process and receipt all types of donations.
  • Provide exceptional donor service and stewardship.
  • Coordinate with Finance for reconciliation and fund alignment.
  • Manage third-party giving portals and year-end receipting.
  • Ensure compliance with CRA, PIPEDA, and CASL regulations.

 

Donor Database Administration

  • Serve as the lead administrator and trainer for the donor database.
  • Maintain high data integrity and implement system improvements.
  • Manage integrations with platforms like Mailchimp, Eventbrite, and Canada Helps.
  • Run segmented queries and prepare donor lists for campaigns and events.
  • Coordinate database cleanups and capability enhancements.

 

Fundraising Insights & Reporting

  • Deliver actionable insights and reports on donor trends and campaign performance.
  • Support event registration tracking and donation analysis.
  • Conduct prospect research and assist with donor recognition efforts.

 

What You Bring

  • Experience:Minimum 2 years in a data-driven, technical, and customer-facing role.
  • Education:Post-secondary degree in a related field. Experience with Raiser’s Edge is a strong asset. Finance or accounting background is a plus.

    • Expert proficiency in donor database systems
    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
    • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy
    • Commitment to donor confidentiality
