Are you a seasoned procurement professional ready to drive complex projects and shape robust supply chains? Join our dynamic team as a (Senior) Sourcing Manager Offshore Logistics & Foundations, where your expertise will be pivotal in managing end-to-end procurement processes for high-impact categories and projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead negotiations, develop cutting-edge strategies, and collaborate with stakeholders across functions, all while ensuring excellence in supplier selection and contract delivery.

As a (Senior) Sourcing Manager Offshore Logistics & Foundations in Wind Procurement, you will have a significant impact on Vattenfall realizing its transition to a more sustainable energy portfolio by securing the necessary  works and services at best value for the company. You will be engaging with the supply chain to define procurement strategies as well as identify innovative market approaches to maximize the company’s profitability. You will work in an environment where you deal with executives internally and externally to drive value from Vattenfall’s’ supply chain for the business. You may be working within different categories, e.g. offshore transport & installation (T&I) as well as foundations sourcing, within a global supplier landscape.

Your Tasks And Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the entire procurement process for assigned categories and projects, from strategy development to contract delivery.
  • Act as the single point of contact and chief negotiator with suppliers, gathering input from all relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop, tailor, and oversee procurement strategies, contracts, PQQ and ITT materials to meet project-specific needs.
  • Steer and guide core tender teams, ensuring compliance, transparency, and fair competition throughout supplier selection until contract finalization.
  • Drive stakeholder management, aligning procurement decisions with category strategies and business protocols for mutual benefit.
  • Promote and implement best-in-class procurement practices, advancing supply chain development within designated categories. 
  • Location  
  • Kolding, Amsterdam, Hamburg or London, regular business trips are required.

Qualifications

Who are you? 
As a person you are a strategic thinker with win-win mindset, an effective communicator at senior level of the organization with superior interpersonal skills, proven commercial mindset and an excellent ability to build networks.   

  • A relevant University degree or equal, with about 5 years of experience working on high value CAPEX procurement projects, preferably in large industrial renewables projects, oil and gas, or similar complex industries.  
  • Alternatively a background within operational offshore execution or shipping industry combined with relevant procurement or commercial related education and experience.  
  • Significant experience in driving business with large spend suppliers in an international environment.   
  • Knowledge and understanding of wind projects FIDIC contracts would be a distinct advantage.  
  • Ability to work in autonomy and take the initiative, while encouraging team work. “Can do” mentality.  
  • Knowledge of project management processes and experience of driving change towards lean processes and ensures adoption and improvement of defined standards.   
  • Good negotiation experience on a range of Installation vessel supplier contracts or standard forms of contract (FIDIC, LOGIC, BIMCO, etc.).   
  • Interest in and experience with supporting and mentor junior roles or newcomers to procurement.  
  • Strong command of English, both verbally and written.  
  • EU tender experience and expertise would be advantageous.

Additional Information

Our offer 
The height of your salary is based on your education and relevant work experience. The basesalary for this position marktconform and will be paid out per month, excluding holiday allowance, based on 38 hours per week. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive secondary benefits package, the most important components of which are:

  • Based on your annual salary: 8% holiday allowance,  4,5% end of year bonus and a profit sharing of up to 3.5% based on the results of Vattenfall Netherlands (RDR).
  • NS Business card for commuting or a travel allowance of €0.23 per km up to a maximum of 50 km one way and a home office contribution of €3,05 per day
  • 20 statutory vacation days, 5 additional days through My Budget My Choice, 2 extra non-statutory days from up to scale 9 (not eligible for overtime), 3.5 vitality days, andif you work a 40-hour week on a 38-hour contract 13 extra ADV days.
  • My Budget My Choice budget, which allows you to purchase or sell extra vacation days, buy a e-bicycle, or simply receive it as addition pay.
  • Pensionplan at ABP: 70% by employer and 30% by you
  • Collective health insurance by Zilveren Kruis Achmea.
  • 4 hours of leave to perform volunteer work through the Vattenfall Foundation
  • Education budget, because we believe it is important that you can continue to develop yourself.
