Salary Range:

$35.32 - $37.62 per hour depending on prior experience

Responsibilities:

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all SCCU lending criteria, guidelines, procedures, policies and processes to assist Underwriting Team Members and other lending departments effectively.
• Conduct initial onboarding for all new Underwriting Team Members and provide ongoing training.  
• Monitor all loan queues to ensure department service level standards are met. Track potential trends and issues to identify training needs and recommend process improvements.
• Assists Underwriting Team Members with escalations, inter-department escalations and suggests alternatives, and fosters independent decision-making capabilities to exceed expectations and bolster confidence.
• Assist in overseeing the daily operation of the Underwriters to ensure the department service level goal is attained.
• Assist management in developing reports to track queues, efficiency, product-based reporting for the department and loan turn times.
• Completes annual Performance Appraisals (PA’s), for each team member and delivers the PA at the appointed time.
• Manages and approves time cards and PTO requests in UKG.
• Aid management in conducting interviews for potential candidates to select exceptional applicants with the requisite experience for their roles.
• Manage department invoices efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely processing and adherence to budgetary guidelines.

Requirements:

Education And Training:

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Prior Experience:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in an Underwriting or customer service role is required.
• Experience in a financial services environment is preferred.
• Prior Leadership experience is preferred. 

Schedule:

Full Time during department hours of operation

• Monday - Friday 8:00am – 7:00pm. 
• 1st  and 2nd Shifts available
• Occasional Saturdays may be required 8am - 5pm
