Technical Field Trainer

LotusWorks is seeking an experienced Technical Trainer to join our corporate team. This role is critical in supporting our employees across semiconductor projects nationwide by ensuring they have the technical knowledge, hands-on training, and certifications required to deliver at the highest level. The Technical Trainer will travel up to 40% of the time to client and project sites, delivering training programs, assessing technical competency, and bridging skill gaps across multiple engineering disciplines.

This position requires a seasoned professional with deep experience in commissioning and operations and maintenance within the semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct site-level technical competency assessments and identify skills gaps across disciplines and equipment types.
• Design, deliver, and evaluate customized technical training plans for individuals and teams.
• Facilitate classroom instruction, field demonstrations, and safety briefings at project sites.
• Create structured curricula combining theory, practical application, and hands-on training.
• Support technical integration of new projects by ensuring employee readiness.
• Develop site- and sector-specific training content in alignment with client requirements.
• Prioritize training initiatives based on project-critical skills and safety needs.
• Monitor training effectiveness through testing, feedback, and performance data.
• Collaborate with site management, Technical Operations, and Training leadership.
• Partner with internal technical content developers and external training providers.
• Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring.
• Verify employee qualifications against client-mandated requirements.
• Update training materials to reflect lessons learned, industry developments, and regulatory changes.
• Maintain comprehensive training records and knowledge repositories.
• Benchmark site and employee technical knowledge to ensure competitive standards.
• Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role. 

Skills Required:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in commissioning or operations & maintenance within the semiconductor industry.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor systems, equipment, and processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in technical training design, delivery, and evaluation.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to travel up to 40% across the U.S. to project sites.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and compliance.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and external training partners.

Education / Licenses / Certifications

• Engineering degree or trade certification preferred 
• Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
