Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 3D Animator to join our creative team. This role requires an expert in developing sophisticated animated 3D content—from concept to final delivery. The ideal candidate is not only a technical master but also a creative visionary, capable of shaping the storytelling and visual language of animation projects at the highest level.

You will own the entire 3D animation workflow, leading the project from initial concept and storyboard development through modeling, environment building, animation, rendering, compositing, editing, and sound design. The role demands deep expertise in both artistic principles and technical execution, ensuring visually stunning, narratively engaging, and polished final outputs.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Concepting & Pre-Production

Collaborate with creative leads to translate abstract ideas and briefs into compelling visual concepts.
Develop storyboards, style frames, mood boards, and visual treatments to establish the artistic direction and animation style of each project.
Define and document the animation workflow and creative process to ensure clarity and consistency throughout production.

3D Animation Workflow

Own project and follow the full pipeline of 3D animation, from conception through to delivery, ensuring both efficiency and artistic excellence.
Model and texture 3D environments, including props, and assets as required.
Create complex, cinematic camera movements and staging to elevate visual storytelling.
Animate models with sophistication, ensuring lifelike or stylized motion that aligns with project goals.
Animate soft bodies and rigid bodies with advanced simulation techniques, ensuring accurate physical dynamics and interactions with their environment.
Develop and implement complex physics-based simulations (cloth, fluids, collisions, gravity) that integrate seamlessly into the 3D world.
Animate and render 3D objects and products into live-action video footage, achieving seamless compositing and photorealistic integration.
Design and implement advanced lighting schemes that enhance realism, mood, and narrative impact.

Rendering & Post-Production

Execute high-quality rendering workflows using industry-standard render engines such as Octane or Redshift.
Manage rendering optimization and troubleshoot technical challenges to ensure timely delivery without sacrificing quality.
Integrate animation with motion graphics and compositing in After Effects.
Edit sequences in Premiere when necessary, maintaining narrative flow and pacing.
Apply audio editing and sound design to deliver polished, immersive final content.

Collaboration

Partner closely with creative directors, producers, and other animators and colleagues, to align creative vision with technical execution.
Stay current with emerging technologies and tools, including AI driven solutions, software, and industry trends to continuously evolve studio capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in professional 3D animation and content creation.
Mastery of Cinema 4D, KeyShot, Octane, Redshift, Rhino, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro.
Proficiency in audio editing and sound design for animation.
Deep understanding of 3D animation principles, including timing, spacing, weight, anticipation, and visual storytelling.
Demonstrated expertise in:
- Storyboarding and visual development
- Style frames, mood boards, and look development
- 3D modeling and texturing
- Environment building and lighting
- Camera choreography and motion direction
- Soft body and rigid body simulations with realistic physics
- Collision, gravity, cloth, fluid, and particle-based dynamics
- Animating and rendering 3D objects/products into live-action footage with photorealistic compositing
- Rendering workflows and optimization
- Post-production and compositing
Strong eye for cinematic composition, design detail, and visual polish.
Exceptional ability to balance creative vision with production realities (timeline, budget, technical constraints).
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with proven ability to guide projects and mentor teams.
Fluent, verbal English language skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Familiarity with other 3D software (Maya, Blender, Houdini, Unreal Engine).
Advanced knowledge of physics-based simulation systems (Houdini FX, X-Particles, etc.).
Knowledge of real-time rendering pipelines and virtual production techniques.
Experience with VR/AR or interactive 3D content.
Background in fine arts, cinematography, or visual design.
