Mechanical Engineer I (For SNC Summer 2025 Interns Only)

You'll conceptualize and deliver complex mechanical structures and systems and your technical duties include the design and development of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline and typically 0-2 or more years of relevant experience
• Must have been a SNC Summer 2025 Intern
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
• Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
• Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Familiarity with applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
• Understanding of Engineering Simulation such as Finite Element structural Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Thermal Analysis
• Experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
• Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $71,338.47 - $98,090.40. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
