The Utilities team at Haleon’s Guayama manufacturing site plays a critical role in maintaining and optimizing equipment that powers our operations—chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, and more. We ensure that systems run reliably, safely, and efficiently to support production and quality standards.

As a Utility and Facilities Equipment Optimization Co-op, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, support real-world maintenance and improvement activities, and collaborate across departments to drive performance and reliability. You’ll be part of the team that keeps our site running at its best.

What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?

  • Assist with preventive maintenance planning and execution for rotating and stationary equipment.
  • Support equipment failure investigations and help implement corrective actions based on root cause analysis.
  • Review and update documentation related to equipment performance, maintenance procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with mechanics, planners, and supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Lead small-scale improvement projects focused on optimizing equipment performance or enhancing documentation workflows.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Electrical or Industrial Engineering may also be considered).
  •  Must have active student status for the duration of the Co-op.
  • Must be eligible to work in Puerto Rico at the time of, and for the duration of, employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of Puerto Rico work authorization.
  • Must be fluent in both Spanish and English.
  • Must be eligible to work onsite full-time in Guayama, PR (40 hours/week).
  • Strong interest in utilities, maintenance, and hands-on engineering in a manufacturing setting

  • Expected Start Date: January 2026
  • Rate: $24.50/hour
