Summary:
Responsible for ensuring compliance with product quality standards and regulatory requirements. Key duties include verifying production documentation, conducting floor inspections, performing GMP and housekeeping audits, and delivering food safety training to team members. This role requires sound judgment to manage shifting priorities and coordinate effectively across departments. Accountable for maintaining food safety, quality, and legal compliance.
Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a food manufacturing environment, preferably within the meat industry. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
Certifications: HACCP certification preferred. Must possess a solid understanding of HACCP, USDA regulations, GMPs, and SSOPs.
Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency required, including the ability to create simple queries and spreadsheets. Experience with SAP is preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills required; bilingual proficiency is a plus.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversees a small team performing related tasks; prior leadership experience is beneficial.
