Director, Simplified Solutions Marketing

As a member of the startup team, the Marketing Director will be responsible for designing and managing the full funnel marketing strategy that fuels Simplified Solutions, Prudential’s new startup that is committed to expanding access to millions of Americans who are uninsured or underinsured today. The ideal candidate will:

  • demonstrate proficiency in driving results in digital customer engagement and acquisition funnel performance,
  • have excellent relationship-building skills and act as a subject matter expert for B2B and consumer marketing,
  • drive the utilization of technology and related analytics to design and deploy digital marketing strategies that expand partnership opportunities and iterate to optimize performance
  • exemplify a ‘can-do’ attitude and take thoughtful risks to move things forward in a small, fast-paced environment and
  • effectively lead, influence and empower others to successfully execute on strategies.

Primary responsibilities will include owning the strategy for demand generation, web optimization, email, social media and improving the customer journey with marketing automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the go-to market strategy to B2B sales in collaboration with the Chief Growth Officer. Identify and prioritize target verticals/industries and provide data-driven marketing insights to evaluate the performance of each sector. Create a feedback loop to ensure sales efforts are focused on the right partner. This involves ensuring that Simplified Solutions presents the appropriate materials, customized cases, and optimization insights to expedite deal closures.
  • Develop and implement the brand strategy and position for Simplified Solutions, encompassing our products, websites, marketplace, and all communication channels with distribution partners and end customers. Ensure the brand aligns with and leverages the Prudential brand when engaging with low and middle-income customers- a segment previously untapped by the Pru brand, This role should foster effective collaboration between this business unit and the global branding team across the broader enterprise, driving a cohesive brand strategy into the market on behalf of Simplified Solutions.
  • Customer Acquisition: Execute our B2C strategy once a partner is onboarded, in collaboration with the Chief Optimization Officer. Simplified Solutions utilizes a DTC approach executed through partners, and this role will lead all marketing and communication efforts to drive leads to our digital tools. Additionally, this role manages the end-to-end marketing experience, working alongside the CPO to enhance every step of the consumer purchase journey for improved conversion rate and reduced drop-off. This role should establish the DTC way of working inside Prudential, which is a new channel for the enterprise.
  • Collaborate directly with partners to enhance customer engagement, co-creating materials and tools used in a way that amplifies the Prudential brand while optimizing customer engagement. Establish best practices and create a framework that can be replicated with new partners.
  • Customer Retention: Boost customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty by leveraging personalized marketing, full funnel analytics and the use of value-added programs as appropriate to minimize customer lapses.
  • Drive the development of the SS Marketing Organization, harnessing enterprise marketing assets and establishing a distinct SS approach that meets the needs of partners and consumers.
  • Deliver comprehensive marketing data analytics and insights on customer segmentation and behavior to enhance customer experience, optimize marketing campaigns, and generate meaningful insights for partners and Prudential ti improve conversion, and increase sales. This work should be conducted in close collaboration with our internal Marketing Insights team, utilizing both internal and external data.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and coach the marketing team (inside and outside of Simplified Solutions), to drive innovative and processes needed to support the unique business model of Simplified Solutions.
  • Partnerships and Collaborations: Identify and establish strategic partnerships that can enhance brand visibility and reach within Prudential and outside of the organization. This role should scan the market for potential brand placement for SS in events and workshops that might benefit partner hunting activity for this unit.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years marketing experiences, preferably within Financial Services.
  • Proven experience in digital marketing, with a focus on driving results through innovative strategies and use of marketing technology.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

What we offer you:

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $164,700.00 to $222,700.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
