Assistant General Counsel - Americas Equities derivatives SVP

The Assistant General Counsel - will support the day to day legal coverage of Americas Equities Team.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities, as delegated by the lead Attorney for the business unit, will include: providing advice and guidance to the business on a broad range of equities derivatives and other bespoke transactions; providing advice and guidance on legal and regulatory matters related to broad equities activities of Citi's ICG businesses; providing advice and direction on the drafting and negotiation of complex transaction agreements; and participating in regulatory initiatives and special projects relating to the Americas equities derivatives business.

Qualifications

A successful candidate will be expected to have

• 6+ years of experience

• Deep knowledge and understanding of US equity derivatives regulation and market practice

• Experience negotiating derivatives and other transactional documentation

• Experience reviewing and analyzing legal opinions relating to equities derivative activities, including Basel III well founded basis standard of legal opinion and documentation review

• Proven analytical and organizational skills

• Bar license in good standing to practice law

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$211,280.00 - $316,920.00
