We are looking for an Associate Scientist to join our Operations team, focusing primarily on molecular biology at Sartorius Stedim BioOutsource Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for performing regulatory studies, reporting and analysing data, ensuring appropriate regulatory compliance with the studies in relation to GxP that have been assigned.
The team consists of 9 professionals, and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you.
This position is available full time on a permanent basis. It is an on-site role at our Technology Terrace site, West of Scotland Science Park in Glasgow.
Grow with us – Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the completion of assays to GxP compliant standard.
You are responsible for the calibration of equipment and the preparation of reagents and media
It includes conducting cell culture activities and maintaining general laboratory housekeeping
It requires monitoring equipment and controlling stock levels to ensure availability
The individual will execute and support various studies as part of their duties.
Ensuring smooth study operations is achieved through effective management of materials and reagents.
The role involves preparing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and study documentation
Conducting risk assessments and assisting in the preparation of documentation are also key responsibilities
In this role, there is a clear path to progression to Scientist, with opportunities to engage in study documentation preparation, client contact, proactive research, and problem-solving, potentially leading to positions as Study Directors or Managers responsible for regulatory compliance
What will convince us
You have an academic degree in a relevant discipline with first demonstrable professional experience in a comparable position
You are experienced in mastering instrument calibration, reagent and media preparation, cell culture and inventory control
You have an understanding of regulatory requirements and GxP regulations as well as ensuring compliance with GLP and GMP standards in studies
The ability to conduct studies using a variety of test methods, with demonstrated hands-on skills is required
Have a strong understanding of scientific theories and processes, particularly in study development and validation
You have experience in the creation and review of SOPs, protocols and study-related documentation
You are characterised by your analytical skills as well as a solution-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills
