Developmental Pathways (DP) is a seeking a Principal Architect to lead strategic initiatives in Data Architecture, Enterprise Solutions, Data Governance, and Artificial Intelligence. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our data ecosystem, drive innovation, and influence enterprise-wide technology decisions.

As a senior technical leader, you will collaborate across departments, mentor teams, and ensure our data systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals. You’ll be instrumental in modernizing legacy systems, implementing cutting-edge AI solutions, and establishing robust data governance frameworks.
 

This hybrid role offers a 4-day, 40-hour workweek, Monday – Thursday and includes the flexibility to work remotely, as well as the opportunity to collaborate in-person based at our headquarters office in Aurora, CO, and/or at off-site locations.

Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Enterprise Solutions

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures.
  • Lead enterprise-wide solution design using Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse).
  • Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, SSRS reports, and SSIS packages.
  • Drive modernization efforts, transitioning legacy systems to modern platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business needs.

Data Governance

  • Develop and enforce data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Implement data classification, tagging, and cataloging systems.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Monitor data quality and implement audit and recovery mechanisms.

Artificial Intelligence Initiatives

  • Lead AI strategy and implementation across the organization.
  • Evaluate and deploy AI tools and technologies.
  • Define standards for AI development, data quality, and model governance.
  • Promote AI literacy and ethical awareness across teams.

Leadership & Management

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data and development teams.
  • Oversee project management, resource allocation, and budgetary planning.
  • Ensure timely delivery of strategic initiatives and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s degree in a computer-related field and 7+ years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience.
  • Proven leadership in data architecture and enterprise technology.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Power Platform, SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and security.
  • Experience with AI/ML concepts and integration into enterprise systems.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with hybrid/multi-cloud environments and application modernization.
  • Familiarity with microservices, serverless architecture, and Kubernetes.
  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
  • Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work as appropriate.
  • Valid Colorado motor vehicle license and proof of motor vehicle insurance.
  • Ability to meet our driving requirements - no suspensions/ no more than two tickets in the past three years. 

Upon request, qualifying need, and approval, driving requirements may be waived in lieu of reliable transportation.
