Role Summary:

Network Product Services DevOps group is looking for an expert and highly skilled Senior DevOps Manager to lead and overseas our DevOps teams. The ideal candidate will drive automation, Continuous integration, and delivery (CI/CD), and IaC practices. You will actively work closely with developers, architects, site reliability engineering, operations, and IT security teams to build robust software/systems, maintain and scale efficiently and securely, in accordance with group’s technology standards. This is a leadership position that requires a combination of technical expertise, project management, and strong interpersonal skills to develop collaboration across Network Product Services teams.  

What You’Ll Be Doing:

Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor and build high-performing DevOps teams, providing guidance, mentoring, training, and fostering continuous learning, innovation, collaboration, agile delivery, and operational excellence. 
  • Partner with network and service automation product, engineering, and QA teams to ensure timely and efficient software releases. 
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting of DevOps resources, tools, and cloud infrastructure 
  • Communicate DevOps standard methodologies and technical issues to non-technical partners.
  • Continues to build and develop positive relationships with senior partners.
  • Understands LSEG's commercial position in the market and how the product / service / domain fits into the commercial direction. 
  • Manage teams of full time and contract staff, and organise the distribution of DevOps expertise across product teams.
  • Organise and manage 24 x 7 DevOps support for network automation software products.  

Planning & Execution:

  • Understands how the technology / domain strategy relates to and impacts one's own work, supporting the implementation of strategy and culture within all work. Supports strategy definition where appropriate
  • Works with engineering leadership to ensure that DevOps initiatives are aligned with software development, infrastructure, and product delivery requirements.
  • Lead the delivery of complex and strategic projects, and ensures delivery to the highest standards by adoption of new/existing technologies and tools to enhance system reliability, performance, and scalability.
  • Works with architects and product owners to decompose a solution into Epics 

Automation, CI/CD Cloud Infrastructure Management 

  • Design, implementation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and streamline software delivery
  • Lead the efforts in collaboration engineering, operation, and architecture teams to automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and scaling using standard IaC principles.
  • Ensure the efficient management of cloud infrastructure, including deployment, scaling and resource optimization. 
  • Collaborate with the security and operations team to implement standard methodologies for cloud operations, monitoring, security, and data protection. 
  • Continuously assess and optimize DevOps practices to improve systems performance, security, and team productivity 

What You’Ll Bring:

  • Master degree or equivalent experience in computer science, Engineering
  • Azure/AWS solution architect, Kubernetes Administrator, DevOps, or relevant certifications are plus 
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies is a plus 
  • 10+ years of experience in software architect, DevOps, or related field 
  • Able to lead diverse distributed team, has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Some knowledge of multi-application management 
  • Technical & Leadership:
  • Proven 4-6 experience in a leadership role, leading DevOps teams and multi-functional collaboration.
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools (Gitlab, etc), version control systems (Git), and containerization technologies (Kubernetes, docker) 
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Helm charts, CloudFormation and/or Ansible
  • Strong background in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and infrastructure management
  • Good understanding of System Operations, security, networking, and performance tuning. 
  • Significant knowledge of multiple programming languages (Shell scripting, python), and third-party Software products.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana etc.) 
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issue.
  • Experience in delivering projects on time within budget.
  • People and multi-group management experience is plus.
